Our 'Danny Boy'

We got Danny in October 2000. He is a 14.2 hands, Irish Cob. After not riding for at least fifteen years, I was eager to get back into the saddle. I was looking for a nice heavy, well mannered, placid, bombproof, (if there is such a thing) horse. When I went to see Danny he seemed to be well schooled and I fell in love with him straight away. Unfortunately he was younger than the previous owner claimed, the old horse buying story, thinking he was rising six, he was in actual fact only four! :o) Anyway needless to say I kept him and persevered with him, he has his moments like every other horse, but is getting better as he gets older. He is part of our family now, and we couldn't bear to part with him. His manners are lovely and seems to understand when his nervous Mother is on him, unless a scary cyclist approches from behind, or a pheasant decides to appear from out of a hedge! :o), he is still young and has a lot to learn, we both have, but hopefully will learn together. :o)
Hope you enjoy the photees of our big lad ! :o)
